Using FxPro on iPhone/iPad in Indonesia

App Requirements and Installation

Minimum iOS version: 16.1. Works on iPhone and iPad.

Search “FxPro: Forex Trading・Gold・ETFs” in the App Store. Download is free. Indonesian language is supported natively inside the app.

What the App Covers in One Interface

No need for a separate browser session. Registration, funding, and trading all run inside the FxPro iOS app.

Regulatory Status and Indonesian Context

FxPro holds licenses from FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), SCB (Bahamas), and FSCA (South Africa). Indonesian clients fall under foreign regulatory frameworks, not local OJK oversight.

Forex trading is legal in Indonesia. CFD trading is also legal but largely outside specific local regulation. Indonesian clients do not qualify for UK or EU investor compensation schemes (£85,000 and €20,000 respectively). Risk control therefore carries extra weight for traders based in Jakarta or Surabaya.

Regulatory Summary

Indonesian traders rely entirely on FxPro’s foreign regulatory obligations. No local compensation fund exists.

Account Setup via FxPro iOS

Registration runs fully through the app. No desktop required.

Registration Steps

• Open app, tap Register
• Enter country of residence: Indonesia
• Provide email, password, full name, date of birth, phone number
• Enter Indonesian address with postal code and city
• Answer employment and income questions (status, annual income, source of funds)
• Answer trading knowledge questions (CFD experience, stop-loss awareness, spread concepts)
• Select wallet base currency (USD or EUR standard; IDR-denominated wallets are not the default)
• Confirm speculative trading objective and accept terms

KYC Verification

Upload a valid Indonesian KTP or passport via the app camera. A selfie may be required for liveness verification. Demo trading is accessible without full KYC. Live trading and withdrawals require completed verification.

Account Types Available

Each platform can be opened as a real or demo account. Leverage, currency, and netting/hedging settings are configured during account creation inside the app.

Deposit Methods and Minimum Amounts

FxPro charges no deposit fee on its side. Banks and payment processors may apply their own conversion or transfer costs.

FxPro does not enforce a mandatory minimum deposit for live accounts. The practical floor depends on the payment method selected. On a Standard account, many traders begin with around $10-$20, though the actual minimum varies by payment provider.

Deposits are managed under Wallet & Accounts inside the FxPro iOS app. Select the real account, tap Deposit, choose method, and enter amount.

Instruments and Fee Structure

All instruments on FxPro iOS are CFDs. Traders speculate on price movement without owning the underlying asset.

Spread Reference (Standard CFD Account)

Spreads are approximate and widen during low-liquidity periods. No commission applies on standard CFD accounts.

Non-Trading Fees

Inactivity fee activates after 6 consecutive months without trading activity. No deposit or withdrawal fee from FxPro’s side. Overnight swap charges apply to positions held past the daily rollover – except on Islamic accounts.

Charting and Technical Tools on FxPro iOS

The app integrates TradingView full-screen charting. Indicators load directly on the chart without switching apps.

Indicator Categories Available

Trading Central signals are also integrated. These provide pre-built technical analysis and directional signals without manual setup. The economic calendar inside the app includes alerts for high-impact events – relevant for tracking Bank Indonesia rate decisions or US NFP releases that affect USD pairs.

Placing a Trade on FxPro iOS

1. Browse instruments via Favourites or search (e.g., EURUSD, XAUUSD, US500)

2. Tap instrument to open TradingView chart with live bid/ask spread

3. Select order type: Market (immediate) or Pending (Buy/Sell Limit or Stop)

4. Set lot size (1.00 standard lot on FX = 100,000 base currency units; margin required is reduced by leverage)

5. Define Stop Loss and Take Profit levels before confirming

6. Tap Buy or Sell to execute

FxPro uses NDD execution. Typical execution time is under 12 milliseconds. Open positions and unrealised P&L are visible under the Positions tab.

Islamic Account and Indonesia-Specific Considerations

FxPro offers swap-free Islamic accounts on request. These remove overnight interest charges, which is relevant for Indonesian traders observing Sharia principles. Alternative fee structures may apply – check current terms in the FxPro profile or via support.

Indonesian traders using FxPro should account for the IDR equivalent of their account balance. Accounts are typically denominated in USD or EUR. A $500 account represents approximately IDR 8,000,000 at current rates – a meaningful figure when calculating per-trade risk.

Trading hours that align with active liquidity for Indonesian traders: London session opens at 14:00-15:00 WIB, US session at 19:00-20:00 WIB. These windows typically offer tighter spreads on major pairs.
